Alkamid® is a resource of plant occurring N-alkylamides (NAAs) managed by Ghent University. Ethnopharmacological data (Traditional medical (TM)) of specific NAAs can be searched for, together with their physicochemical properties and plant origin. Based upon your input, this search page will give you all information (name, structure, literature). The database is linked to a manuscript entitled "Alkamid database: Chemistry, occurrence and functionality of plant N-alkylamides", in which the origin of the different N-alkylamides, their biosynthetic pathways and medicinal use are described.
